Buzzfeed has succeeded in creating an illusion into people’s minds of how high their content is by using the multimedia approach. For example, their content is in the form of visuals, photos, gifs, and of course videos. However, when it comes to Buzzfeed’s business side, this was an innovative approach to change the old journalistic way that might have been boring for others to just read a bland piece of article. Especially, when it comes to the new generation of people, they have found colorful visuals to be more appealing than text. Although, it has been rather ironic that many people made fun of Buzzfeed when they started, but instead, young people have shown an increased interest in their unique way of delivering the content.

Despite being live since 2006, Buzzfeed has promised its viewers with everything that is viral or trend-worthy. People have shown so much interest in their content, especially that they love sharing it even if it is just to show other people how smart they may look by the content they share.

Besides, Buzzfeed depends heavily on social media platforms like Facebook, Twitter, and Pinterest to share their content rather than their own website.

From my own experience, I have heard about BuzzFeed only through random Facebook videos that would pop up through my feeds.

Furthermore, advertisers showed so much interest in BuzzFeed. According to Columbia Journalism Review, “BuzzFeed management is promising investors that the idea to maintain the company’s editorial output and continue to grow revenues despite a reduced workforce and pared-down budget; to further diversify its business and to explore potential mergers with other firms. The idea is to do more with less.”(Uberti,2019). This shows how much BuzzFeed knows how to attract investors and advertisers as a way to grow their company and to gain more revenues.
